Father and Son Killed in Plane Crash on Lake Herman Road

Terry Vallee, 67 year-old, and his son Preston Vallee, 43 year-old, were killed in a small plane crash on Saturday, September 9, 2017. The Solano County Sheriff’s Department officially announced the news on Sunday, September 10. The plane was a single-engine Beechcraft BE36 “Bonanza” aircraft. They crashed on 2200, a block from Lake Herman Road, according to authorities.

“The father and son left from Buchanan Field Airport in Concord,” said the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). They were on their way to the Arcata-Eureka Airport in Humboldt County. On Sunday night, at about 9:40 p.m., family members reported to officials when they didn’t show up at their destination. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are currently investigating the issue for the cause of the accident.
