After the first stress test for the new MK1, we have seen lots of old Kharacters with brand-new lore and even designs for pre-existing Kharacters. Though there are many people curious about the new games and Kharacters, it seems that most of their questions have been answered in the new closed beta.
This beta is only available to those who pre-order MK1 and those who got it can test out some of the new Kameo features, try the roster, and overall get a feel for the game and see what it is all about. This beta has already been getting lots of positive reviews as it seems the game exceeded everyone’s expectations.
One Redditor in particular goes more in-depth about the new Kameo feature and how it allows you to have another character during a fight: “I love them. They are a nice addition to the game, they are not as op or broken; however they do give a nice addition to the game.” Another Redditor says, “When the whole roster is usable they are gonna be a lot more fun. Throws and fatals (Fatal Blows) will be different every game.”
Though the new beta doesn’t show any storyline or any additional features, people are already incredibly impressed with the new character designs, graphics, and even the fighting. But was it worth the wait?
One MK1 beta player says “I’m over 40 years old and have been around since the first Mortal Kombat. These are my thoughts on the MK1 beta,” before going on to talk about the fluid gameplay, the Kombo system, and go into great detail about the Kameo system.
“One thing I do keep in mind is that this weekend is a beta. Two stages, a handful of Kharacters/Kameos. A tower. No storyline or additional features. So to be this impressed with the beta…I am very very excited for MK1 on release day.”
He finished off by saying that this game might even be better than MK11.
