After the recent events of Hurricanes and small earthquakes being set off in Southern California, Scientists have gathered to monitor the San Andreas Fault, and have made a prediction as to when it will be set off.
They have deemed the state of the fault “catastrophic” and have advised all California residents to evacuate before September 3rd, if you cannot make it out before then, here’s how to survive the predicted 15.3 magnitude earthquake in 5 quick easy steps:
Step 1: Run Outside
Being outside will help keep your body temperature down and keep you calm in this stressful situation. Listen to the birds chirping, the rushing water, the roads and sidewalks cracking, the screams of your neighbors. Be in nature.
Step 2: Find a Bridge
Bridges connect people to each other. Bridges can also protect you from the falling debris of the earthquake. You may also find an abandoned car with the keys still inside. If so, get in and drive as fast as you can away from the rumbling earth. If not, proceed reading the rest of this list.
Step 3: Stand Under the Bridge
Being under the bridge gives you the power of a fairytale troll. However, to summon these powers, you must say, “Who is walking over my bridge.” If you don’t utter these words, you will most certainly die.
Step 4: Wait the Earthquake out
The 15.3 magnitude earthquake will be over quickly, and you will be able to go back to your daily activities thanks to hiding under the bridge.
Step 5: You’ve Survived.
Congratulations. You’ve survived the earthquake. Remember to thank the bridge that saved your life and make your way back home over the cracked pavement and around the giant holes in the ground. If you know parkour, you will have an advantage getting home. If not, take your time.
