Blackpink in the San Francisco Bay Area! Blackpink recently had a concert in the world famous ballpark, Oracle Park, San Francisco on August 22 and I had the privilege to attend. The show lasted about 1 hour and 40 minutes and consisted of about 24 songs. Blackpink broke records with this concert by becoming the first kpop group and first female group to ever perform at the Oracle Park with around 42,000 fans in attendance! With outstanding energy, an ocean of beautiful pink lights, extremely loud crowds, and amazing performances, this concert is one to never forget.
The concert being held in the Oracle Park guarantees no bad seats, everyone in attendance had an amazing view of the group. They opened up the show with Pink Venom from their 2022 album Born Pink. Their stage set was the same as their stage in Coachella and so were some of the performances. Alongside their group performances, all the members had solo stages. Jennie performed You And Me and Solo, Rose performed Gone and On The Ground, Lisa performed Money, and finally, Jisoo performed All Eyes On Me and Flower. For each of the member’s performances, the crowd was equally loud and energetic. At some points, I even felt the concrete floors shake! The atmosphere in the stadium was a level of energy I have never felt before. Everyone danced and screamed their lungs out. Even Rose commented that we know how to party! Not only did they perform their most known songs, they also performed some of their lesser known (but still massively popular) side tracks. Their stage presence and charisma was so powerful that even if you were in the furthest, “nosebleed” seats, you could still feel their energy as if they were performing in front of you, 6 feet away.
Their US encore concerts had a total of 5 shows with 2 shows in New Jersey, 1 show in Las Vegas, 1 show in San Francisco, and their final show in Los Angeles. Their main BornPinkTour had 40 dates and 24 encore dates with 2 extra Seoul shows on September 16-17. With the encore concerts coming to an end, their whole Born Pink world tour has been one of their best tours. I can’t wait to see them again on their future tours!
