On July 15, 2023, Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami from PSG. It has only been one month since Messi joined Inter Miami, and he has brought the most success to the club in their history. When Messi had just joined Inter Miami, their record was 5-14-3, and they were dead last in the league. However, as of now, Messi has played 10 matches and has won 9 of them, except for last night, when he had a draw with MLS team Nashville SC. Messi has already made a big impact in just 10 games, which is by far extraordinary.
With only seven games in, Messi had already won Inter Miami’s first trophy in their history, which was the league cup final. Both teams fought hard, but Inter Miami had won on penalties and had become league champions. In his first game alone, Messi scored an absolute banger from 25 yards out in the 93rd minute. In just 10 games playing with the club, Lionel Messi has won nine out of those ten games, and he had a draw in one game.
Already scoring 11 goals in 10 games is different, and pitching four assists is something only Messi can do. He is also on track to becoming Inter Miami’s all-time goal scorer in their franchise, which is 32 goals, and I can see him breaking that record in no time. Messi has made his teammates around him so much better by giving them many opportunities. This is a big success for the club as he can get them playing at their full potential. Inter Miami is now pretty much on track to win the MLS Cup if they keep playing at this high level. I can definitely see them winning many more trophies to solidify their ranking at the top of the MLS.
