Homecoming is right around the corner for us students at Benicia High School. This means it’s time to find the perfect dress or suit to show up looking sharper than a 45° angle. Finding your dream outfit can take time, so here are some stores to look at to cut down the time.
On a tight budget, but still wanting to find a dream outfit?
MACY’S
Locations: Concord, Walnut Creek, Fairfield, San Rafel, San Francisco, and Pleasanton. Macy’s also has an online website.
Macy’s price range: $59 to $69.
Macy’s collection has some of your favorite colors popular for homecoming like blue, red, black, and everything sparkly. Macy also offers short and longer dresses, meaning you have plenty of options for both modesty and style.
Macy’s also sells suits, so if you’re opting for a two piece or even just a simple button up, Macy’s caters to you, as well.

LULU
Lulu has cute dresses around the same price range as Macy’s: $46 to $99. They even have a filter dissecting different styles of dresses. This means you can find the style you’re looking for quickly, especially with the help of filters finding exactly what sizes and colors you’re looking for. Lulu also offers a variety of long and short dresses, meaning if you want to be more modest or break the traditional ‘short-dress for homecoming’ style, you have that option. Their sizes range from xxS to a 3x.
AMERICAN THREADS
American threads is another online store that offers dresses more on the expensive, and shorter, side, so if you have some extra money this could be an option for you. The prices start around $64 and go up to around $120. American Threads also sells heels, boots, and accessories like necklaces and earrings, so you can get all the items you need for a perfect outfit in one online shopping spree.

FOREVER 21
Locations: Concord, Pleasanton, Hayward, Newark, San Francisco, and an online website.
Mainly offering pink, blue, and black dresses, Forever 21 might be your option if time is running out. You still have varying options, including sequins or satin. Forever 21 has both in-person shopping and online shopping, and they’re prices are reasonable. Don’t be afraid to check out this quick fix if you’re rushing.
Trying to break the bank for one dress?
LASTING IMPRESSION–FORMAL WEAR
These dresses are for those who really need the price tag to prove the cuteness of the dress. These dresses sell for anywhere from $350 to $798, due to their sparkling and bedazzling capabilities. This store does cater to short dresses, but you can also keep it in mind for prom because of the large array of floor length dresses.

Men’s Wearhouse
Locations: Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Fairfield, and online.
Leaning on the pricier side, these suits are made to last. If you want a suit that will serve you for more than just homecoming, Men’s Wearhouse is the place to go. They also sell separate pieces like ties, button up shirts, and dress pants. They even offer homecoming packages that not only include the pants and the jacket, but a tie and shirt, as well. Men’s Wearhouse also offers shoes, so you don’t have to make an extra trip for your footwear.
