Fall brings out such a unique mood in people and that bleeds into the music we listen to. For me, fall brings me this sense of questionability and discovery of myself. It reminds me of feelings of feeling lost and trying to find myself and those kinds of emotions can really take over your brain. So I have compiled a list of my top 5 songs that perfectly captivate my mood for fall.
- “Ramblings of a Lunatic” – Bears In Trees
The feeling that I always associate with this song is the fear that comes with time moving forward. It’s a song that really makes me want to sit under a tree while reading a book and just think about all that I do with my life. This song has a way to make the listener become very connected to the feeling this song gives off.
- “We fell in love in october” – girl in red
This song is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a nice little sapphic love song about two girls falling in love in october. Whenever I hear this song, I always just imagine walking down a path covered in trees with autumn leaves and holding someone’s hand. And of course, it has October in the title so that instantly makes it a fall song.
- “Stick Season” – Noah Kahan
“Stick Season” is a term used by Vermoters to describe the time between October and the first snow. Noah Kahan uses this term to talk about his struggles with feeling lonely during these months. Lines like “I’ll drink alcohol till my friends come home for Christmas” resonate with so many people so deeply that it is a song that I highly recommend for fall lovers.
- “Dear Arkansas Daughter” – Lady Lamb
This is one of those songs that you wanna listen to if you want to get into a good mood. It has such a wonderful tune to it and reminds me of fields of dry grass and hay. It’s definitely a song that will get stuck in your head
- “The way things go” – beabadoobee
The main reason that this song reminds me of fall is because it’s all about moving forward and letting things end and that’s what fall is all about for a lot of people. A lot of people really move forward in their lives every fall for many different reasons and this song really captures that feeling really well.
