Prisoner Danelo Cavalcante has been spotted 8 times after escaping Pennsylvania prison earlier this month, by scaling up a wall and pushing through mazes of razor wire.

Cavalcante was arrested and sentenced to life without parole after the 2021 killing of his ex-girlfriend in front of her children. After the incident he fled the area aided by two friends and was later found in Virginia. Authorities also believe he was associated with a 2017 murder in Brazil and came to America illegally trying to avoid the charge.

September 11, 2023 at 10:10 pm, a Pennsylvania homeowner called police reporting man broke into his garage and stole a .22 rifle, then left the house. Earlier that day around 8 pm a woman reported seeing a man crouched along the side of Fairview Road West at Route 100, troopers and border control later confirmed mud prints being identical to Cavalcante’s prison shoes.

With Cavalcante armed and dangerous, Pennsylvania police are telling people to stay inside with doors and windows locked, and officers standing 100 yards apart from each other looking into the woods. Multiple people have been stopped on their way to work or the gym to see if he is hiding in their cars, along with stopping everyone that has no proof of living in the nearby areas.

UPDATE

Recent sources have reported as of September 13, 2023 Danelo Cavalcante is now back under custody of state police. Tactical team snuck up on him after a heat signature was spotted around 1 am Wednesday morning, the events played out quickly after he was bit by K-9 while trying to escape. Chester County attorney says, “nightmare is finally over” and the town is no longer on edge.
