Antonio Brown, the former wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who has been known to have anger issues in past football games, was arrested in Florida last week for allegedly refusing to pay child support.
Wiltrice Jackson, the mother of Brown’s 15 year old daughter, Antaniyah, declared that the ex buccaneer has been avoiding the payment of child support. He allegedly owes Jackson $31,000.
The ex football player has been in many controversies over the years, one that led to him being released from the Buccaneers in 2022, when he tore his jersey off and stormed off the field during a game against the New York Jets.
In 2020, Brown was involved in an altercation with a moving truck driver. This dispute ultimately led to him being charged with burglary and assault, for which he served two years of probation for.
He was even accused of sexual assault in 2019 by his old trainer. The trainer formed a lawsuit against the player, but Brown denied the allegations and eventually settled the lawsuit.
Since the arrest last week, the former football player has since been released on a $15,000 bond.
It seems as though the consequences of his responsibility have finally caught up with him and his “untouchable” attitude. This goes to show that no matter how many fans you have or how much money you make, some things you just can’t get away with, and you can’t avoid your responsibilities.
