Come visit The Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion overlay at Disneyland California and Disney World Florida!

Highlighted on Disneyland’s official website:“Pumpkin King Jack Skellington has been busy decorating the Haunted Mansion with frightfully festive touches inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” As said on the Disneyland website, “Experience thrilling sights and seasonal surprises created by the citizens of Halloween Town. Sally, Oogie Boogie and other beasties from the beloved film will be on hand to wish you “Season’s Screamings!”’

The Haunted Mansion Holiday is a seasonal variation of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion attraction that blends the Haunted Mansion’s scenery with characters and music from The Nightmare Before Christmas. The ride first opened on October 3, 2001, and has been running yearly since then.

The Haunted Mansion Holiday takes place shortly after the events of The Nightmare Before Christmas, in which Jack Skellington, who attempted to create his own twisted Christmas in the film’s Halloween-style overlay, now discovers the Haunted Mansion, home to 999 Happy Haunts.

The mansion’s outside has been decorated with both jack-o-lanterns and Halloween-themed Christmas decorations. Jack Skellington’s coffin sleigh is on the roof, and his amusing “Christmas Equation” cascades from the roof to the ground. There’s also a Halloween Town countdown clock that shows how many days till Christmas.

During the holiday season, the Haunted Mansion Holiday becomes incredibly popular. Average wait times can range from 30 minutes on off-peak days to 2+ hours on weekends and holidays. It’s best to check the Disneyland app for current wait times.

Fans anticipated Haunted Mansion Holiday every year because it gives The Nightmare Before Christmas the opportunity to take over the Disneyland ride from early September until early January. Then, every winter, admirers of the original Haunted Mansion look forward to its reappearance. As though you were experiencing two rides at once!

The Haunted Mansion Holiday has become a yearly tradition of Disneyland’s holiday celebrations as a result of its popularity. The attraction’s appeal originates from both its originality and its ongoing evolution. Every year, Imagineers modify and replace various components to make sure that even those who have already experienced it will discover new surprises. The Haunted Mansion Holiday is proof of Disney’s limitless imagination and capacity to revive time-honored attractions.
