The Best Thanksgiving Dishes

By Staff

As we push into November, the holiday season is right around the corner and while Thanksgiving may not be everyone’s favorite holiday, the plethora of delicious food is undeniably enjoyable. With the munds of food that comes with the holiday there are favorites that everyone can agree on. The following list highlights the Thanksgiving greats we are all looking forward to.

Mashed potatoes are at the top of the list. The buttery goodness of fluffy mashed potatoes warms everyone’s spirit one bite at a time. Adding to the list of reasons why mashed potatoes are everyone’s favorite is their variety. Whether you like yours plain with gravy or mixed with bacon and green onions, mashed potatoes will always be a Thanksgiving staple.

Another all time favorite is macaroni and cheese. The hand made, oven baked macaroni and cheese leaves craft mac and cheese in the dust. The warm gooey cheese and crunchy bread crumbs is the elevated dish everyone looks forward to all year long.

Arguably the next dish that should be at the top of the list is the Thanksgiving rolls. The fluffy, buttery, soft rolls that come on the side of every Thanksgiving meal are the type of thing you could eat all day and still go back for more.

Green bean casserole may be controversial to some, but the general consensus is that it’s delicious! With a mixture of vegetables and crunch, green bean casserole is another Thanksgiving staple, and it only got there due to the overall love for the dish. So if you’re thinking about how much you hate this dish while reading, maybe you’re the crazy one.

Finally we have dessert, with the best Thanksgiving dessert being pie! Any type of pie, whether it’s pumpkin, apple, pecan, or rhubarb, a nice homemade pie is the best way to finish off a day of feasting. Add a scoop of two of ice cream on top and it can’t get any better than that.

Now that we are all reminded of the Thanksgiving delicacies, I think it is safe to say that we are all ready for a giant Thanksgiving feast. In the midst of the delicious aromas of food in the oven, don’t forget to keep in mind what you are thankful for and where the holiday comes from!
