Tyson Foods Recalls Massive Amounts of Dino Nuggets

By Sydney Dalske

Recently, Tyson Foods recalled over 30,000 pounds of its iconic frozen dino shaped chicken nuggets due to findings of metal pieces inside.

When the recall announcement by the Food Safety and Inspection Service was made, it specifically covered their 29-ounce bags of “Fun Nuggets” produced back on September 5. These nuggets had been distributed over 9 states, including California.

The USDA officials said in a statement that only one minor oral injury has been associated with the consumption of this product and that no other reports have been made. But to be safe the FSIS is urging anyone who might have a bag with the expiration date of Sept. 04, 2024 to throw it out.

The only comment made by Tyson Foods was that they acknowledged their consumers’ reports of finding “small, pliable metal pieces in the product” and that the company has voluntarily chosen to recall the products “out of an abundance of caution”.

As of now, there are no further updates, only the advice to discard the products produced on that date and hope that the company is able to find the root of the problem.
