In Santa Clara, Ca, Shannon O’Conner, 49, is facing many charges after she apparently created parties for her son and his friends where she apparently encouraged teens to drink alcohol and engage in sexual assaults against intoxicated girls. The grand jury in Santa Clara has indicted her on 63 charges, including child endangerment, furnishing alcohol to minors, and aiding/abetting sexual assault.
The Mercury News has reported that 17 alleged victims testified during the grand jury hearing. O’Conner, who has been sent to jail without bail, has not been assigned an attorney to address her charges.
Apparently O’Conner organized six parties in 2020, where she provided beer, vodka, and other types of liquor to 14 and 15-year-olds, trying to essentially make them drink to the point of unconsciousness. She also allegedly kept these parties a secret and even assisted them out of their homes to attend these parties.
During a party in December 2020, O’Conner was accused of giving a condom to a minor, before pushing him into a room with an intoxicated girl the same age. The girl luckily managed to escape and lock herself in the bathroom.
At a New Year’s Eve party, with around five 14-year-olds at her home, O’Conner witnessed and laughed as a drunk teenager sexually assaulted another young girl in bed.
In a different incident, O’Conner allegedly brought an intoxicated teen into a bedroom at her home, where he then sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl, who later reported almost drowning inside of a hot-tub at another party, according to court documents.
O’Conner was then caught and arrested in 2021 in Ada County, Idaho, where she had been living at the time.
