Winter break is just over, and school has started again.
But what happened in the entertainment branch during the break?
Many movies just came out that many people have been waiting for.
On December 15th, Wonka came into the movie theaters.
The main actor here, who plays Willy Wonka, is Timothée Chalamet.
This movie is about Willy’s dream to make chocolate to bring a smile to people’s faces.
He succeeded in this until other chocolate sellers wanted to stop him, because they realized how good his chocolate was. What happens in this story is unbelievable and is a must-see.
The movie is about two hours long and can be watched until January 8th.
If you missed it, you’ll probably be able to see it on Netflix by May 2024.
Another movie that just came out is The Color Purple.
This movie is about an African American teenager who was raised in a rural area in Georgia in the early 1900s. The story documents the life of a girl named Celie. She gets abused by her dad, who tells her that she can’t tell anyone about it but God. So that’s what she does.
She writes letters to god. What exactly she writes about is shown in the movie. It came to theaters on Christmas Day 2023.
Napoleon was released on November 22, 2023. It’s a movie that’s based on the events of the French Revolution and shows many brutal scenes. That’s why it is suggested that you watch it if you are older than seventeen, but the minimum age is 12.
Here, Napoleon, tries to strive for power in the new French empire.
Besides the brutal side of the film, Napoleon falls in love with Josephine Beauharnais.
If you missed this, you also have the chance to watch it on many streaming platforms for about $20.
I hope you all had a great winter break and have a good new year!
