What was intended to be a peaceful, scenic drive, spiraled into a disaster with just one wrong turn. A woman was driving up Mount Baldy when a deer jumped out infront of her car, causing her to swerve and plummet 100ft off a cliffside.
She spent four days trapped in her pickup truck before she was spotted and rescued by a group of hikers. The hikers notified authorities about a Ford Ranger that crashed off the side of Mount Baldy Road. The truck was down in the canyon when firefighters arrived.
The woman was airlifted to the hospital and later reported to be stable with non-life threatening injuries. After spending such an extended period of time in the harsh, winter conditions, it’s a miracle that she survived.
