Everybody knows about college and all the benefits it can offer to your long term life. It helps with jobs, knowledge, experience, and provides social benefits. But, do all of these benefits outweigh the sheer amount of money college students have to pay every year? Right now, no. The cost for college has been skyrocketing lately due to inflation.
Lately, colleges have been charging as high as $95,000 a year, JUST FOR ONE YEAR! If you are planning on going to college for 4 years, you will end up having to cough up over $350,000. It gets even worse for more advanced jobs and degrees , as it’s an extra 4 years for college students. That equals over $750,000 to get the right credentials to become something like a doctor. That is way too high for school. Almost one million dollars for school is just absurd. This doesn’t even include school supplies and student loans. It gets even worse.
Even though College costs a lot of money, it is very good long term, as well as short term. Going to college opens up a lot more job opportunities. Most people go to college in order to be able to achieve their dream job. College also teaches you all about the job you want to work at, as well as greatly increases your chances of being hired. Having any college degree will greatly help you get high paying jobs, as well as maybe your dream job. College also prepares you for the real world. It gives you experience on what to expect. The last benefit that college offers is social experience. You meet many new people going to college, all your age. Meeting new people is very important because you get introduced to new things.
As you can see, college is way too expensive at this time. People get drowned in debt and student loans due to interest, on top of having to pay just to get into college. But, if you think the benefits outweigh the cost, you won’t regret your decision to go to college.
