Kali Uchis (an American Spanish singer/songwriter) second spanish album “Orquídeas” was released on January 12, 2024, through Geffen Records. “Orquídeas” has a total of 14 tracks, ranging from Pop, R&B, Latin Urbano, and Musica Tropicale. This album became Kali’s highest charting album at #2 on Billboard 200 upon release. This album has features from Peso Pluma on “Igual Que Un Angel”, El Alfa and JT (from the City Girls) on “Munekita”, KAROL G on “Labios Mordidos”, and Rauw Alejandro on “No Hay Ley Parte 2”
“¿Cómo Así?” is the first track off of “Orquídeas”. This song has a very captivating sound and melody that just brings you in and grabs your full attention. Some have even said that the sound of the song is very seductive and intimate, which fits the meaning of this song so well. With Kali’s addicting vocals and the instrumental that pulls you in, this song is one you would want to hear over and over again. “¿Cómo Así?” talks about her presence which is so addicting and you can never get enough of it, as said in the lyrics “I make ’em beg for it, yeah, Make ’em pretty please, ‘Cause if you come around here, You’ll never wanna leave” and “With my gaze, I warned you, No need to talk, You’re infatuated”. She makes it clear in this song that her self worth is above all and if you are going to love someone, it takes effort and commitment.
