Artificial Intelligence, or AI, has become increasingly popular over the last few years. If you are not aware, AI is the technological simulation of human intelligence processed by machines. Society has been using AI for many things Such as transportation, science, education and even the military.
Many people have felt that AI has taken over and that we have become too dependent on it. We have even started using it in medicine and healthcare. Doctors and healthcare workers have been using AI to monitor the vital signs of patients and to warn of any risks. Some could say that healthcare has become slightly dependent on AI as healthcare professionals have started to make critical decisions about their patients based on the output of AI.
The question everyone is asking though is, how secure is AI in the medical field? Even with a lot of safety precautions in place pertaining to AI, it is possible that the information AI produces could be breached. AI and healthcare workers are substantially at risk of data breaches and cyber attacks. This could be a fatal attack for healthcare patients.
