The Avatar movies are way too long, with the first one being the longest. With a runtime of 3 hours and 14 minutes, that feels like 3 years. Imagine sitting in a theater for that amount of time with no breaks. It is just too long of a movie to be shown in theaters.
The first problem that occurs during this movie is having to use the restroom. When you are in a theater, you cannot pause the movie. You may say, well I don’t have to use the restroom, I can hold it. Chances are you will be having snacks and a pretty big drink for how long this movie’s run time is. Chances are you will have the largest size drink, and will have to refill it at least once. You will HAVE to use the restroom if you drink that many fluids in that amount of time. Chances are, you will be going multiple times. This results in missing parts of the movie that you should not be missing. Going to the bathroom could result in missing an important scene in the movie, and no one wants that.
The next problem is having to look at blue creatures for 3 hours. After a while, these stupid, idiot creatures get annoying. You start to think, why are they blue? That is so stupid. And I couldn’t agree more. Having to watch this movie is the equivalent of looking at the sun for 3 hours. It is pointless. Not to mention, boring.
The last problem is the people around you when watching the movie. It is a risk going to a 3 hour movie because the people could be annoying and won’t stop talking. This is more common than you think too. But don’t even get me started about bringing a CHILD to this movie. If you see a child in the theater before you sit down, RUN. They will ruin the already horrible experience this movie brings to your life.
Basically, don’t watch this movie. It is too long, too blue, and too stupid. If you like that, then go for it, but I don’t see the point in it.
