Best Cafes In Benicia

  1. Benicia Coffee Company. This cafe is near the stores on Columbus Pkwy. If you want to visit a local coffee shop that is also adorable, this is the place for you! Benicia Coffee Company sells a variety of items ranging from coffees, teas, foods, and baked goods. Whatever you are craving they most likely have it. This is a fairly small restaurant so it might take longer than usual to get your order, but I suggest this place and the wait is worth it. It also smells like coffee as soon as you walk in which is a pleasant way to be. They also have a little lounge area with a few chairs and books that are free to read.

  1. States Coffee. Located on First st. in Benicia. This is probably my favorite cafe out of all due to  the unique environment . From the outside to inside it is well decorated with black and white colors. Whenever I come here it tends to be very busy because they are only open from 7 to 2 Pm everyday. They have such cute seating inside and outside as well. The windows are all clear so the sun comes in and looks really pretty. The menu is small compared to others, but they have a variety of coffee, tea, and bread/baked goods. From brownies, muffins, donuts to bagels, croissants, and many  more! Make sure you go early to avoid the big crowd of people.
  1. Dianna’s bakery and cafe Deli-speciality gourmet market. I love this cafe because the owner is super friendly every time I’ve been there. This is a super spacious place that carries bunches of items. There is sweet, savory, and everything in between. A popular item is coffee which has many flavors. Something that really intrigued me when I first came here was the dozens of baked goods all around in jars. Brownies, donuts, gingerbread men, danishes, cookies, muffins, banana bread, and pies too. If you have a sweet tooth I highly recommend going here. This place is also on first st. in Benicia. On the other hand they have savory foods too; bento boxes, sandwiches/wraps, soups/salads, hamburgers, etc. if you are ever in the area definitely go here.
  1. Double Rainbow Cafe. My family and I go here quite often because of how amazing it is. The decor in there is incredibly cute. With teals, pinks, and a rainbow painting across the wall. I just went here yesterday and ordered a hot chai latte with soy milk and fudge sundae with chocolate and cookies n’ cream. The tea was the perfect amount of sweet and the flavors were very strong which I loved. You can fulfill any sort of craving with the many menu items. They even have non-dairy options as well such as the soy cinnamon churro which tastes exactly like a churro. The ice cream scoops are a bit pricey at $3 but I personally don’t feel that it’s too bad considering the quality of everything.
  1. Fox and Fawn Bakehouse. I haven’t been here as often as the others but again it’s a favorite. They also have options for anyone vegan or gluten-free. I personally love the funfetti cupcakes and the chocolate/vanilla cupcakes. They honestly might be the best cupcakes that I’ve ever eaten, perfectly soft and fluffy cupcakes with amazing taste. In addition to that there’s also coffee, teas, and more. Support local businesses!
