With the surplus of streaming services out nowadays, how are you supposed to know which one to spend your hard earned money on? Today I’ll help you guys pinpoint which service will best suit your needs, by identifying the best streaming service for each type of media.
Well start with the most infamous service Netflix. I’m sure you’ve heard of it, if not it’s a subscription based service which primarily distributes original films and TV shows with a sprinkle of critically acclaimed films. They have plans ranging from $6.99 to $22.99 a month, which will provide you with unlimited watching and up to 5 accounts per subscription. Netflix was one of the pioneering members of the streaming industry however as of lately they’ve seen a decline with the surplus of other services coming out and taking some of the most popular movies and shows from Netflix.
You may have heard of this next brand as it’s been around for a long time however their streaming service is newer and they keep adding more and more to it. I’m talking about the all in composing Disney+, with their new addition you can get Hulu, ESPN and Disney + for only $15 a month or $25 a month for no ads. This is one of my recommendations as you’re going to get the most bang for your buck. Not only will you have access to all Disney movies and shows, but you can watch all the live sports you could ever need through the ESPN app. You won’t miss out on all your favorite comedy shows and movies as Hulu has that department covered. Another hidden pro from this package is the ability to download any movie, show, or sport event that you’d like. I’ve personally used this feature to catch up on some past Oregon Ducks football games while on the plane to go to a game.
Next on the list is Crunchy roll. This one is for our anime watchers out there, myself being included, we know how hard it can be to find a place to keep up with your favorite anime. Crunchy roll is the place for you if you’ve struggled with third party streaming sites for too long, they’ve got high quality ad free streaming for over 1000 different anime for only $8 a month. Not only do they have show’s but they’ve recently added an area to read your favorite manga! For those who don’t know what that is, it’s essentially a comic version of your favorite anime and it’s only for 4 extra dollars as it’s $15 a month.
The final service we’ll go over today is Amazon’s Prime video. They’ve been in the game for almost a decade now with the popularity growing exponentially. With the massive popularity of Amazon prime already the service has over 200 million annual subscribers. The cool part about prime video is that it’s already included with your normal amazon prime subscription. They have tons of movies from award winning directors to new indie movies made by up and coming directors. Prime video has a library of almost 30,000 movies and shows, so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. The only downside to prime video is that not every movie is free. They have access to basically everything but some are hidden behind a paywall of either renting the movie or straight up buying it.
