AI Tech Wearables

By Wesley Heberling

Wearable technology has been available to the public for several years now, such as with smartwatches, fitness trackers and bluetooth headphones being very common. But now there is a new wave of tech that promises to be even more intelligent and advanced thanks to the help from Artificial Intelligence (AI).

These devices will be able to sense data about their users and also their surroundings, and process that data to give recommendations and actions. Many use sensors to capture things like movement, location and other environmental conditions.

One major application from these wearables is health and fitness. AI is able to continuously monitor things like your vitals, different activities, your sleep, and more to be able to customize exercise plans and diets for you. Some of these wearable devices can even detect some illnesses or concerns with your health early on.

Beyond your wellness, AI wearables are also being designed for more productivity, entertainment and communication. Smart glasses could display visuals and allow for hands free control by using eye tracking and voice interfaces. These technologies continue to advance, enabling all sorts of futuristic capabilities. While there are ethical concerns about privacy and AI bias, for many consumers, the integration of this into everyday life may soon become a comfortable new normal.
