Brooke Schofield Shares Who Clinton Kane Really Is: An Overview

By Jacinto Caballero-George

Brooke Schofield, an online influencer, originally did not plan on revealing this information about Clinton Kane, an artist, until he posted a TikTok stating, “When you’ve been over the relationship for 2 years but she won’t stop yapping.” This video gave Schofield a reason to reveal compromising information about Kane. Schofield starts off her video series on Tiktok “exposing” Kane by stating she dated him due to being unmedicated.

Schofield starts by explaining how the two of them started dating by Kane continuing to pester her in her DMs until she agreed to go to one of his shows with a friend. Schofield claims they hit it off immediately, which is why she agreed to go again the next night. After the second show, they go to a club followed by a small 24 hour dinner and “talk for hours,” in Schofields words. This is when he opens up on what “happened” the year before (which would be 2020). Kane claimed his mother, father, and brother all died in that same year. Then, he stated he was homeless for a period backpacking through Europe before he got discovered.

Kane goes on about how he grew up, claiming it was in Australia, that he grew up rich, and that his mom was a Norwegian pastor at Hillsong—a large church in Australia.

The night after Kane and Schofield go on an official date, Kane calls her saying he has Covid. Schofield knows this means she had it as well due to how close they had gotten the night before. Kane offers for them to quarantine together, and Schofield agrees.

This is where the problems started, according to her. She describes how Kane love bombed her by giving her gifts and singing love songs to her while they quarantined.

Once the quarantine was over, they go on a trip to Joshua Tree with a few friends where on the way they got pulled over. The cop who reads Kanes ID states he was born in 1999, which would make him 3 years younger than what he told Schofield. He tells her it was a fake ID to make him look younger, causing Schofield to be suspicious.

At a dinner during a trip, Schofield checks her phone to which Kane throws a “tantrum,” in Schofield’s words. Saying his mother was neglectful and if people are not paying 100% attention to him it triggers his trauma. This is where their relationship experiences fight after fight. Kane’s go to response was always that Schofield was triggering him and worsening his trauma.

Schofield then realizes that despite being in a long distance relationship, they are never apart. Constantly together either in Vegas where Kane lived, LA where Schofield lived, or somewhere in the middle. Kane constantly throws fights whenever Schofield was away, never letting her leave his side, one time even threatening to drink and drive when Schofield was out for dinner with a friend.

A few months into their relationship, Kane does an interview on the Zach Sang show, one of Kane’s close friends, to talk about his new album. Kane goes on about his dead family and what it was like attending the funerals over zoom. The next morning, however, Schofiel overhears Kane begging his manager to take down the interview, confusing Schofield, so she goes to check it out. In the comments of this interview Schofield sees a comment saying, “This is really strange. I don’t know where this Australian accent is coming from. He’s not Australian. He is from Brunei. I grew up with him, I went to school with him, and I saw his mom yesterday.”

Schofield then searches his mother and sees her Facebook. This is how she finds out she was not Norwegian and that he didn’t grow up in Australia. She was clearly Asian, and they clearly lived in Brunei—a small country in SouthEast Asia. It seemed as though he grew up quite poor. However, there was no post after his mom allegedly died.

Then, Schofield finds out Kane cheated on his ex with 14 different people, and she was one of the girls.Schofield does some investigating and finds out he was cheating on her, too. Now Schofield feels as though Kane is basically a stranger. Everything he told her was a lie, and she didn’t know if she knew anything about him at all.

After finding this out, Schofield stages a fight to get away from him. Schcofield then tells Kane she knows he’s cheating. Kane, offended that she would even accuse him of such a thing, breaks up with her. Schofield, while leaving, claims she was in contact with his mother, and Kane freaks out. He responds without denying she was alive, and Schofield leaves him for the final time.
