Gypsy Rose Blanchard, convicted for plotting the murder of her mother, married Ryan Anderson while serving her ten-year prison sentence; she was later released after just seven years. Media of Gypsy and her husband spread rapidly, making her a trending headline on social media. Just three months after her release, Gypsy announced that she was divorcing Ryan, leaving the media swarming with unanswered questions.

Just weeks after this unexpected announcement, Gypsy was seen with a man named Ken Urker, an ex-convict. Soon after, Gypsy confirmed Urker to be her boyfriend. According to Gypsy, the couple had an on-going relationship while in prison, before Anderson was ever in the picture. Although Gypsy claims there was no overlap between the relationships, there is much speculation. Just weeks after she had filed for divorce with Anderson, Gypsy announced her pregnancy to the media with Ken Urker’s baby. Within days, thousands of posts had been made, sparking the spread of assumptions. Gypsy began to make appearances on several podcasts, as well as posting her own content explaining the situation from her perspective. People continued to root for Gypsy. Until, Ryan Anderson began to speak up for himself. He made posts villainizing Gypsy, explaining that he was left in the dark, and was left just as shocked by Gypsy’s pregnancy as the media was.

Soon enough, Gypsy Rose was no longer being flooded with love and support from viewers. Suddenly, she was being criticized and ridiculed by thousands, questioning her integrity and honesty.
