On September 19th, 2024, Benicia’s Varsity Volleyball team went head to head with Northgates’ Broncos. With Benicia’s record of 9-6 and Northgates 11-5, it seemed like it would be a close and fun game. Unfortunately for Benicia, we went 0-3, being completely shut out by the Broncos. The scores were all in the favor of Northgate, coming out to S1: 13-25, S2:23-25, and S3:19-25,
But there’s still 9 more games in the season for our girls’ Varsity team, and we can and should all go out and support them. Attending these games are a great way to raise school spirit and support your community. Attending can also show support for your school and fellow classmates. Further, showing the same support for the sport will allow more funding to go towards it, getting similar funding to other sports that Benicia High School offers.
Mackenzie Rice, Varsity member of the girls Volleyball team, says she is “so excited” for the upcoming games. You should be too! Make sure to attend the upcoming games to support your schools’ great players!
