Every year, the NFL has a trade deadline on November 5 where teams cannot trade for players from other teams. The trade deadline is approaching, but what does this mean for the 49ers? They could use some players that can help this team improve. Plus, with 54 million in cap space, they can afford a lot of players.
Travon Walker-DE
The former first pick of the 2022 draft has not been living up to the expectations. Through his season with the Jacksonville Jaguars he had 3.5 sacks in his first year, 10.0 sacks in his second, and has 5.0 sacks in this season. With the Jaguars being really bad right now, and the 49ers needing help at D-Line, the 23 year old should be a target for the 49ers.
D.J Jones-DT
A former 49er who played for them 2017-2021, 49ers need to bring back D.J. The 49ers need more depth in the defensive tackle position and they need a playmaker. Back when D.J Jones played with the 49ers, he was a disrupter in the run game and would pressure the quarterback consistently. A good veteran presence like that is what the 49ers need in that position.
Greg Newsome II- CB
The 49ers corners need some help. Even with the rookies, such as Renardo Green, Greg Newsome would help this a lot. Since Charvarius Ward hasn’t been playing the best right now, Newsome is a very good man on man corner and could help in the slot. Though we do have Renardo Green, this would not be a bad target for the 49ers to trade for.
