There are so many things you can do this holiday season during winter break. Some are free and some cost money but both options will be discussed in this article. There are lots of activities you can do with friends and family from home.
One example is cookie making. You can look up recipes online to make all kinds of different cookies, and only need to spend a little bit of money on some things you might not have at home. Other than that, it’s super easy and fun to bake cookies with family and friends and decorate them to go with the holiday season. Another super inexpensive thing to do with your friends or family is a holiday movie marathon. You could buy lots of holiday treats and stay home with friends or family to watch holiday movies to get into the holiday spirit. Gingerbread house decorating is also a super fun thing to do with friends and family. It might cost a little bit more money, but not a super expensive activity. It’s super fun to do gingerbread house decorating competitions to see who’s the best at decorating gingerbread houses between you and your friends and family.
A more expensive activity to do with friends or family is ice skating. Ice skating can be super fun, and there are many places around the Bay Area and East Bay to go ice skating.
Another activity that can cost some money is designing ornaments. You can get supplies for them at craft stores like Micheals or JOANN’s Fabric and Crafts. It’s super fun to do and an activity you can do from home.
One last thing you can do that takes some driving is going somewhere it snows and sled. There are many places you can go sledding, including South Lake Tahoe, Soda Springs, and Tahoe city. It’s about a 2-3 hour drive, so this would be a day trip or a mini road trip you could do with family.
