Cops interacting with their communities is a fun, lighthearted way to get to know and understand the people patrolling in the area. Cops aren’t always the bad guys pulling you over to give you a speeding ticket, sometimes they are just like the rest of us. Some interactions between cops and people in the community are funny or lighthearted, and now we can see these interactions on the internet.
A TikTok user by the name of Domthetrol uses their platform to interact with cops in the NYPD force. Ranging from chasing cops around with a donut on a fishing pole, to asking for their name and badge number to have an excuse to call them a “good boy,” Domthetrol has had so many interactions with cops that most of the police department is aware of his existence. Most officers even show signs of joy when seeing Domthetrol.
Another common form of interactions with cops is skits that citizens and cops will do together. These skits can be lip singing to a song or dancing together for a trend.
Finding these funny internet memes or videos is no hard task, and the best part is these videos are not painted in a negative light (most of the time). These videos bring a fun light to law enforcement and the community that law enforcement is supposed to protect. It’s a good way to spread a positive light on a topic that is otherwise sometimes looked down upon.
