This graph shows the US foreign aid spending from 1965 to 2025, as you can see Trump brought the foreign aid spending to an all time record low. Even lower than the former lowest low in 1997 which was 24 billion.
Trump approached congress with a plan for only 13 billion which is almost half the amount of the former lowest. This shows an increase in Trump’s attempts to cut budgets in what he doesn’t deem worthy. It also could show his attempts to further project 2025.
The impact of these cuts are detrimental to the majority of under-developed countries. Millions of people are going to be left without basic infrastructure, like running water, medicine, electricity, and food.
Millions of children will be left without the ability to go to school as they do not have the aid to fund it. Companies that employ people will have to go bankrupt as the local banks fail. And there will be overall widespread collapse in countries.
We know this as the EU head advisors says the US minimum foreign aid required for vital support is 29 billion. We are almost half of that right now. We can only provide half of the vital aid required for the world currently.
“What I didn’t know that was even happening, “ I got this quote from 3 random people who agreed to answer my question. It shows how Trump is doing things unchecked as most of his actions in office aren’t even known by the American public.
Which while yes isn’t a bad thing in total when he is cutting foreign aid to a point where only half the amount of vital foreign aid is able to send it is killing millions and possibly 100 millions.
