How Can Businesses Gain Popularity Based on Social Media Presence?

     Why should businesses use social media for their benefit? It’s definitely not necessary to post on social media, but we can see how helpful it is on popular accounts like Nutter Butter, Sour Patch, or Oreo.

If we look at Nutter Butter, their Tiktok page is all over the place. Completely chaotic and just weird, which in their case gives them a bunch of attention. They now have 2.5 Million followers.

If we look at Sour Patch they make videos of mainly adding sour patch to random foods, like “Chili Patch Kids.”  According to STU online, “It allows businesses to connect with a customer, but it also builds brand loyalty and can boost sales.” 

     I think that more businesses, especially the small businesses around Benicia should use social media more often. But, how can social media really affect businesses? According to David Eccles School of Business, 91% of experienced social marketers see improved website traffic from social media campaigns, showing how much social media can benefit a business. So, how can businesses gain popularity based on social media presence?
