BHS ADVANCED DANCE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS PERFORMANCE

By Zoie Osborne

After a stunning performance at the Homecoming Rally, the BHS Advanced Dance Team is getting ready to perform at the Golden State Warriors vs. LA Clippers game on October 28th. With a little under a month to prepare, the team has to put in a lot of time and dedication to learning and cleaning up the routine to make it stage ready in and out of class. Along with utilizing teamwork to its fullest abilities to have everyone working on the same level.

There are plenty of ways for everyone to prepare for the performance day, “I usually like to give myself way more time than I need to get ready so I can take my time and if anything goes wrong I have time to fix it. When I’m stretching I try to focus on calming myself down and warming myself up in a sort of meditative state. I also like to listen to music to get into the performance mindset,” said Olivia Zmak grade 12..

This is something new for Advanced Dance, and also uncommon for many high school dance teams, so lots of work has to go on behind the scenes to get this set. “BTS quotes and info from Ms. Pecho,” this performance will be such a beneficial opportunity for the Advance Dance Team to showcase their skills and dedication to their craft.
