Fashion week is the most famous fashion event every year, it displays high end fashion brands and upcoming trends that people all over the world will be wearing. Paris fashion week is by far the most popular series of fashion shows throughout the month of fashion. Paris fashion week had brands like Chanel, Dior, Hermes, Valentino etc.
This year Chanel has used a mix of black, cream, and white with pops of red, as well as stripes, flowers, feathers, and their signature tweed fabric as well as a good use of silk. CNNStyle describes the Chanel show as “Dramatic ball skirts blooming with color and texture…” Still keeping up their clean and sleek style while mixing it with fun spring moments. This show mixed classic Chanel must-haves with fun spring patterns and designs.
Dior is another very prominent brand that had a show at Paris fashion week. Elle magazine talks about Dior’s show as “a soft, but mature vision of girlishness that uses delicacy to build a fortified modern women” They stuck to the theme of black and white, helping keep an elegant, and classy style that Dior is known for, while also mixing fun shapes into their designs as well as using fun lace fabrics making a fun but stylish collection.
Hermes took a different approach in their show in fashion week. Using more earthy tones giving their show a whole different vibe than brands like Chanel and Dior. Hermes took a more modern approach, aiming for comfortability and everyday wear. The collection as a whole was different from the other brands in a fun way bringing life to such neutral colors.
Valentino had a very different approach to fashion week this year, taking spring/summer very seriously with bright colors such as fuchsia, gold, sky blues and more. Valentino also brought in different shapes into their clothing bringing alive a fun, new, and unique collection making it stand out when compared to other collections displayed during Paris fashion week.
Every collection has a different overall display but through each collection, clear trends are noticed such as bolder pieces, florals and brighter colors that are perfect for spring and summer. More layers have been added throughout various collections which shows the shift towards more street wear while also keeping the classy touch.
