Spirit Week 11/3-11/7

      Our students voted for the spirit days, leadership heard you! This week was our student choice spirit week here at Benicia High!

     Monday was memes making a comeback, dress up as your favorite memes or vines.  Students dressed up as people from old vines or their favorite iconic memes. Monday’s  activity, there were many games students could participate in like tug of war, corn hole, connect 4, and more! Current student at Benicia High School, Clara Whitlock says “For meme/vine day I will be dressing up as the stop I could have dropped my croissant meme. I will hold a plate with a croissant.”

     Tuesday: teacher vs student swap day! Staff was dressed up as their students, rocking sweats, stanleys and airpods. While students wore their favorite staff members outfits, rocking beards, hats, and cardigans! Tuesday’s activities will be arts and crafts! There will be a bracelet making station, kindness cards making, and pet rock making! Harlow Bacon states “I will be dressing up as Mr. O’Riley and wear a hat that he always wears that looks identical.”

     Wednesday was anything but a backpack day! Students are encouraged to be creative and bring their best non-backpack container to bring around their supplies class to class. Wednesday’s activities were karaoke! Students can listen to their favorite songs and sing their hearts out. What was the best song you heard? Brooke Krous states “I will be singing Party In The USA. I will sing this song because it will never get old and everyone else will sing along with me.”

     Thursday was Adam Sandler day, where students wore their favorite Adam Sandler inspired outfit. and wear your Adam Sandler inspired outfits. We wanna see your best baggie tees, joggers, and tennis shoes. Thursday’s activity will be a dance battle. What makes an outfit an Adam Sandler outfit? Jeffrey Jarmin says “I feel like shorts that go all the way to your ankles and a really baggy shirt do it.”

     Friday, show your USA spirit and rock the red white and blue. Students should shine like our 50 stars and dress like our flag, red white and blue to honor our veterans. Last but not least, Friday’s activity BUSD veterans will be honored in the quad at lunch.
