BACON IS IT HEALTHY?

     Bacon is a delicious snack, or an integral part of certain meals. The question we really need  to know is whether eating it on a regular basis is healthy or bad for you. As it turns out, you may be able to eat regularly and stay healthy.

     Studies from the FDA show that eating bacon on a daily basis is unhealthy. It increases insulin, it’s increases in cholesterol can shorten your life by a year and more. It also increases your risk of heart attack by a significant amount.

     But with correct dieting and proper substituting, you can eat bacon daily without needing to worry about the side effects. If you eat bacon, you could substitute it with turkey bacon or chicken bacon. Also trying to cook your bacon on a rack so the oil drops down then patting it down with paper towels can reduce its fat and cholesterol by 50% on the bacon.

     It’s not bad to eat bacon every so often, but it is unhealthy and without proper exercise and over consumption. “Moderation. Small helpings. Sample a little bit of everything. These are the secrets of happiness and good health,” stated by Julia Childs, a famous chef. Famously in life, cutting yourself off from something never helps.
