Living near the Bay Area, you may think that there is not much to do. Or maybe that there are not many sights to see. But just by reading this article, you can find out about all of the beautiful places to visit in the Bay.
Muir Woods in Marin County, CA, is said to have a “rich and varied history”, according to Trip Advisor, Muir Woods National Monument. With a 4.8 star review on the Muir Woods website, tickets to visit are $15 for people 16 and above, and are free for people 15 and under.
At Muir Woods, the main activity to do is go hiking to see the redwood trees, but going there, you can also have the access to visit Muir Beach. If you are to visit the beach, make sure to watch out for the waves as there are no lifeguards.
Pier 39, located in San Francisco, CA, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Bay Area with the earliest times for shops to open at 10:00am. The Marine Mammal Center, came out with an article, Celebrating the Center’s Pop-Ups at Pier 39, where they state that More than 74,000 people engaged with our staff and volunteers at Pier 39.
Attractions at Pier 39 consist of wine tasting, located at I dock, virtual reality, located at building Q, a 7D ride experience, located at building M, and many more for you to enjoy with family and friends.
Japanese Tea Garden, located in San Francisco, CA, is a well known spot for tourists to visit in the Bay Area, but also the locals. There are many things to do at the Tea Garden, and if you’re not feeling up to doing any of the activities, but simply want to enjoy the calmness of the place, you don’t have to do any of them and can just walk around on your own time, at your own pace.
If you do want to do some of the activities at the garden, one of them consists of visiting the Tea House. At the Tea House, you have the opportunity to get a meditative cup of tea, and enjoy the refreshment “at a custom-designed “irori” or farmhouse-style family table.” According to Gardens of Golden Gate Parks, Japanese Tea Garden.
Another fun thing to do at the Tea Garden include the 60 minute walking tour, where you can look at the iconic drum bridge, the zen garden, stone lanterns, and much more, with tickets at $18.25 they can be purchased online or at the door. Going to the garden, you can learn all about the history behind it.
