After Trump’s capture of the Venezuelan President, it is difficult to tell what kind of shenanigans he’s up to. Many have wondered if he is trying to gather a collection of presidents in order to rule all nations on Earth. Or maybe he just wants to keep them on display? Is he going to put them in a freezer to preserve their likeness and put them up with his own written descriptions like the Walk of Fame?
Turns out, it was an action with double standards all to get back at Putin. Trump has explained on many occasions how disappointed he is with Putin invading Ukraine, calling Putin’s kind words “meaningless” at a Cabinet meeting. So out of spite, he illegally invaded Venezuela and took their president, causing Russia to lose Venezuela, their strongest Latin American ally.
Russia reacted with anger and disappointment. Which shouldn’t make sense, because you’d think that they’re pro-invasion. They might be trying to make invasion their own thing. Don’t they know that there are invasions all over the world? Putin might be planning to invade the invaders next… maybe make his own Walk of Fame for nation leaders.
Regardless, some suspect that the invasion of Venezuela may be an act to earn the respect of Putin. Though he may not show it, what if he now honors Trump the same way Trump honors him?
Putin’s attention is something that Trump has been seeking for years. For almost two decades, Trump refused to insult Putin and always praised him for his leadership. He sought to bring the US and Russia closer together as allies. But in 2013 he made a Twitter post asking, “Will he become my new best friend?” Perhaps he did not want the strength of Russia’s government, but something more with Putin…
It’s safe to say that his dreams came true during the past couple of years, but now things are looking bleak. The bond and trust between Trump and Putin seems to be withering. Putin’s heart is cold and his moves are bold, he may not be willing to suck up to Trump the way Trump wants him to.
With their hearts shattered and rivalry tense, will they take action to repair their relationship? Will Putin start kidnapping presidents of his own to get back at Trump? Will Trump freeze Putin and put him in his Walk of Fame: World Presidents Edition? It’s a worldwide will-they-won’t-they dilemma.
