Aftershock is an alternative music festival that started in 2012, in Sacramento California. The four day long festival occurs every year in early October, the ticket price is about $450; with a chance to see over 140 bands.
On March 4, aftershock released their 2026 lineup. There are four different headliners; one for each day of the festival. That being: My Chemical Romance on Thursday, LimpBizkit on Friday, Pierce The Veil on Saturday, and Tool on Sunday with an addition of 30-35 supporting bands each day.
BHS student Brooklyn Petullo says, “Thursday is my favorite lineup out of the four days because my favorite bands will be there. That being My Chemical Romance and $uicideboy$.”
Personally, I agree that Thursday has the best lineup. I like how it has a good mix of different genres in the band’s performances. There are metal bands including; Killswitch Engage and Sevendust, then rock bands including; Sublime and Nothing More, as well as pop-rock/emo bands including; The Used, Mayday Parade and My Chemical Romance.
Although Thursday may have a well-loved lineup. I still believe the other three days have great bands playing as well.
The organizers of this festival claim the release of the lineup caused a record-breaking demand for most tickets sold in a single day. Although there is no exact number of ticket sales out yet, they expect the 2026 attendance to meet or exceed the previous record of 164,000 people last year.
The record of Aftershock sales is growing by each year, according to the ABC10 news article. Which could only mean the lineups are getting better each following year. What will the 2027 lineup bring in terms of ticket sales, and the lineup?
