Spring break is right around the corner which means there is plenty of warm weather and lots of free time to spend doing fun festivities with your friends. Not sure how to spend your break? Here’s some locally focussed ideas.
There’s plenty of popular hotspots to see in the city, one of the most popular being Pier 39. Here down by the beautiful San Francisco bay you can visit the sea lions, take photos, dine right next to the shore, play games, and even check out some shows.
Still in the city and feeling artsy? There’s plenty of neat museums around San Francisco to check out. One of the most popular ones being the California Academy of Science. It has lots of places to explore like a rainforest, planetarium, history museum, and an aquarium.
Another great museum to check out is the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. There’s plenty of beautiful pieces to see and as a plus, anyone under 18 gets to visit for free with a school ID.
With temperatures starting to rise more and more now is a perfect time to get some sun and relax by the shore. Some nice beaches in the bay are Stinson, Baker, Pacifica State, and Muir. If you’re not willing to drive so far out of town, a nice picnic on 9th street beach in Benicia never goes wrong.
If you can’t travel far, Benicia is known for being home to many cafes and restaurants. If you want to cafe hop with some friends there’s a lot right here in town, try Rrags, One House, Majestic Cafe, and Benicia Coffee Company.
If you want more of a restaurant to eat at with friends and family, try Sailor Jacks, Bella Siena, Lucca’s, or Kimono’s.
Even if it doesn’t seem like much, there’s plenty of things you can do during break while enjoying the sunny weather and the smell of fresh flowers.
