Vacation abroad is a very popular way many like to celebrate time off school or work. Vacation is meant to be a time of relaxing and having fun; what could possibly go wrong?
Benicia High School decided to host a week-long field trip to Canada this past summer for their students. However, many students were disappointed to find the way they were treated by the citizens of Canada.
The people of Canada weren’t very kind to the students of Benicia High, but they were polite. Which was shocking, as they are known to be nice. Many students were shocked by this disappointing factor of the trip, after they had just spent $1,700 each just to be spat in the face by these polite Canadians.
BHS Sophomore, Ryan Afable complained, “I was disappointed to experience the people of Canada shaking my hand as a greeting. Why don’t they just verbally greet me like a nice person would do?”
Vice Principal, Mr. Jacob Smith heard about this incident, and decided to open a poll on how this last trip was for the students. And unfortunately, Ryan was not the only one to experience this attitude from the school trip. In fact, 97.2% of the people who filled the poll out felt the same way as Ryan.
Since then, as of the last few months, students have decided to take research into their own hands, and have been more satisfied with their recent vacations due to the recent act of researching foreign behaviors.
