For over 4000 years, swimming has been a “healthy” way of exercise for many reasons. Swimming increases flexibility, protects joints, and strengthens your muscles. On March 5, 2026, scientists discovered that if you swim for more than 130 hours a week then you will slowly start to see a change in your body. Dr. Anthony Fauci, a well-known scientist states “If you swim for a long period of time in the ocean or salt water pool, the human body will begin to turn into a fish”.
There are 5 stages. Stage 1. Pruney Skin: Once swimming in the water for too long your skin will start to wrinkle, especially on the hands and feet.
Stage 2. Fin Development: your fingers and toes will begin to turn into flat wide fins developing a rough slimy texture.
Stage 3. Scaled Skin: Patches of your skin will start to turn into shiny blue and green scales replacing the human skin on your body.
Stage 4. Gills: Large, small, and medium slits begin to form behind your ears eventually making it the only way you could breath under the water.
Stage 5. Full Transformation: Your legs start to fuse together forming a large tail and your hair starts to fall off.
A famous local surfer in Hawaii, Gerry Lopez, started to notice changes in his body like wrinkled skin 24/7 even when he wasn’t in the water and his fingers and toes were slowly starting to become webbed. Thankfully Gerry went to The Queens Medical center right away otherwise he would become a fish and no one would notice.
After this information was released at least 40% of people stopped swimming as often. People who own pools changed their salt water to chlorine water after learning what salt water can do to you. Are you still going to be swimming in the ocean?
