But recently it has been hitting headlines after actor Stoney Westmoreland was caught for trying to have sex with a minor. Disney released a statement reading, “Given the nature of the charges and our responsibility for the welfare of employed minors, we have released him from his recurring role and he will not be returning to work on the series which wraps production on its third season next week.” He was known as the grandfather, Henry “Ham” Mack, of Andi. In addition to his previous misdemeanor, Westmoreland has been caught sending photos to a minor. This has all went down through communicating on an online dating app.
This has shocked many viewers online for Westmoreland’s proximity with the other young actors. Many also complained that the deep meaning behind the show will be overshadowed by its reputation for having a criminal.
Whatever the outcome of the show, at least Westmoreland is behind bars for his offenses.
