Disney has more projects coming out next year . Most of them are remakes of classics Disney has already made before. Remakes of movies can be really great to see the new writers show their point of view towards the franchise or film. Most of the movies on the list will be giving more insight to the movies Disney has already produced for their audience. It’s exciting to hear all the changes in storylines and characters in their new projects.
Dumbo
The famous flying circus elephant Dumbo is having a remake. The classic Disney movie will be directed by Tim Burton, and music will be composed by Danny Elfman. Cast includes Danny Devito who plays Max Medici, Michael Keaton who hires Dumbo, and Colin Farrell who plays a circus star. The movie is planned to hit theaters on March 29.
Aladdin
The new, adventurous “Aladdin” movie will be directed by Guy Ritchie. The cast will include Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. The movie will also be co-written by John August and Vanessa Taylor. The movie will come out on May 24
Lion King (Live Action)
Directed and Produced by Jon Favreau, “The Lion King” comes back as a remake live action film. Featuring Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce Knowles as Nala, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Eric Andre as Ed the Hyena. The movie will officially come out in theatres on July 19.
Toy Story 4
The new adaptation of Toy Story is now being made. New toys and other known characters will appear in the movie and also new characters. The regular cast will stay and will come back to voice the characters. Tom Hanks who plays Woody, says the ending is pretty emotional. According to Today.com, the actor states, “The emotional range of the movies has become more and more deep and profound and affecting.”. The movie will come to theatres on July 21.
Frozen 2
The film will be following up with the original cast. It will be directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck. According to Metro who got an interview with Kristen Bell who plays Anna revealed some information saying, “While Bell said she could not reveal much information about Frozen 2, she did let us know that Frozen 2 will have very “intimate” moments.” The movie is planned to come out on November 22.
