BTS’ Jimin is Recovering from a Appendicitis Surgery and Tested Positive for COVID-19

BTS’s Jimin was hospitalized on January 31st, 2022 after experiencing “sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat.” Big Hit Entertainment announced the following day that Jimin tested positive for COVID-19 and underwent surgery for acute appendicitis. The 26-year-old Kpop star is now the fourth BTS member who tested positive for COVID-19. Members Rm, Jin, and Suga all tested positive in December and have already recovered after 10 days of isolation.

A few days later, Big Hit posted on the online platform ‘Verse’ saying that “Jimin is currently recuperating” at the hospital following the successful procedure. He will also receive a few days of treatment for COVID-19 in conjunction with postoperative care.” The label added that the singer was not in contact with the other members and that they will ¨diligently cooperate with the request and guidelines of healthcare authorities.”

BTS’s Fans, “ARMY,” send the singer their well wishes on Twitter using the hashtag “#GetWellSoonJimin” and “WeLoveYouJimin.” which eventually became the world’s top trending hashtag at the beginning of February. Jimin’s fellow member Taehyung also shared a throwback selfie with the recovering singer along with a photo of the whole group and a caption that reads, “The family I love,” in Korean.
