AI has been given a bad rep when it comes to students utilizing the resource in school. Since the release of ChatGPT on November 30, 2022, many different opinions have been expressed. Some of these opinions have been negative, with people claiming that ChatGPT and AI in general should not be used by students, since it will enable them to cheat. But, as AI has developed and improved overtime, it has proved itself to actually help students learn and has even found a way to relieve a lot of stress for parents.
All students have suffered through the late night, tear-filled, math homework debacle with your parents at the kitchen counter, we all know the frustration and a lot of that gets reflected onto your parents. You hear the same thing everytime, “When we were kids, math wasn’t this difficult,”… “Well I used to do it like this, not that” blah blah blah blah blah. When you’re having trouble with homework and seeking help from someone who is on the same page as you, just as confused, you are guaranteed to become much more aggravated and also guaranteed to make no progress. But this global issue could have a solution, AI.
With AI, you can give it whatever you are working on and it can help you through it. Simply type in your question and explain your struggles or where you are stuck. In response, you will receive a series of steps that will help lead to your solution. This technique works best for the subjects of math and chemistry. Which is perfect considering, they can be tough!
Like any new technology, there are good and bad things. There are aspects of it that are amazing and surprising, and then some that will take time to learn to navigate. But as the world turns to technology, it is important to hop on the bandwagon along with it. Through this resource, our questions will be answered, we will learn along the way, and mom and dad won’t have a panic attack as you try to explain to them what a mole is in chemistry.
