10 Pushups: The Secret To Consistent Exercise

By Reed Richards

Exercise is an important part of staying healthy and combating dangerous diseases like osteoporosis, blood clots and different lung and muscle issues that pop up after being sedentary for a long time. Exercise seems daunting, but it’s not as hard as you might think. There are no crazy routines or any substances needed if you can commit to something like 10 push ups a day. You’ll see results in no time! It might seem deceptively simple, but it’s really that easy! Just after you wake up, hit the floor and push yourself up and down 10 times and then go about your day. It starts your day off with a small win to push your day forward and also makes you feel energized.

Daily exercise keeps you in a healthy weight range, stimulates brain chemicals that make you happier and gives you energy, like dopamine and serotonin. Simple things like the aforementioned 10 pushups or taking the stairs two at a time just makes you feel better.

I have been doing the 10 pushup regime for a while, and it had some very positive effects on me. I feel stronger, I’m lifting more and not getting winded as easy. I do 10 when I wake up, 10 when I get back from school, 10 after extracurriculars, and then 10 before bed. Keeping to this routine is an important part of seeing results and deviating from it is harmful to your gains!

Diet also plays a part in staying healthy, because what is exercise without any fuel to do it with? Things like chicken, rice, and broccoli are easy things to whip up and meal prep for the week with. This meal combination gives you starch, vegetables and protein to get your vitamins and important nutrients to assist in muscle growth. It’s pretty light weight, as well, so it keeps the pounds off. Exercise is easy! Just stay consistent, and then it doesn’t have to be hard!
