There were a lot of movies that came out this summer. But the 5 best movies that were brought to us this summer are.
1.

The number one most popular movie this summer being Lilo & Stitch which made over 420 million dollars in the box office this summer it was rated at 3.1 stars. Which is a remake of the classic beloved disney classic Lilo & Stitch.
2.

The second most popular movie of summer 2025 was Superman with over 340 million dollars made in the box office. It was rated at 3.9 stars. People describe it as a feel good movie about the classic story of superman.
3.

The third most popular movie of summer 2025 was Jurassic World Rebirth which made a little over 330 million dollars in the box office. It was rated 6.0 stars. It is an action packed adventure movie with a twist hero.
4.

The fourth most popular movie of summer 2025 was the live action remake of how to train your dragon. It made a little over 260 million dollars in the box office. And has a rating of 7.9 stars. It’s a fun, family movie based on the DreamWorks classic How to Train your Dragon.
5.

And last but not least the fifth most popular movie this summer being the Fantastic Four First Steps. Which made a little under 250 million dollars in the box office. It was rated 7.3 stars. And is a Sci-Fi, Action, Adventure based on the famous Marvel comics of the Fantastic Four where the heroes need to find a way to balance normal lives and being a hero.
Honorable Mentions
These are movies that were also incredibly popular but not released in box office so it’s hard to see a metric of how popular they were. But are still considered extremely popular.
HM 1.

Honorable mention number one is Kpop Demon Hunters which was number one in streaming spots around the world for 3 months this summer. It’s rated 7.7 stars and is a musical, action, adventure, comedy aimed towards a child based audience. It is an action packed movie about the popular music genre of K-Pop.
HM 2.

Happy Gilmore 2 is the second and last honorable mention. It was one of the most anticipated releases of this summer and was very high in the top streaming spot for the US for almost the entire summer. It was rated 6.1 stars and is a comedy and based on the classic happy Gilmore which is an Adam Sandler classic.
