New devices have been released recently to the market, and it seems to be generational. Some items include the iPhone 17, released on September 25th, and the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses released on September 30th.
Let’s begin with the newest iPhone of the bunch, the iPhone 17. The base model of the new device starts at the price of $829.99. As the storage increases, so does the price. The iPhone 17 Pro is at $1099.99, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max is a whopping $1,199.
Some new features that are new include: upgrades to the display, upgrades to the camera, 40 times zoom, and has an extra new button on the outside to access the camera from any app or application your on.
A quote from Shaia Culligan, an Iphone 17 Pro owner, states that, “I really like the Iphone 17, the camera quality has improved a lot, and it is a lot faster than my previous phones. The new button on the bottom is used to directly enter the camera app, no matter what you are doing on your phone. One thing I would change is to create a smaller camera so it isn’t as bulky, but that’s what the regular models are for!”
The second item is the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. There have been two versions created, 1 and 2. The newest additions to the second generation are higher camera quality, significantly longer battery life, improved speakers, an added live streaming features, and enhanced Meta AI features.
The starting price for the Generation 2 version is $450.99. This is a generational item, including high quality glasses, a recording device, and a way to listen to music, all in one.
This item is one of a kind, giving new angles for recording point of views for people, as seen all over TikTok. The best part is that all of this new technology is hidden in plain sight. It also makes calling people much easier. All of these perks can be done without your phone, all you need to do is be connected via bluetooth, and your set.
A Meta Glasses owner, Alonzo Ibarra, stated that, “I love these glasses, they have been so much fun to use. I can record myself while I’m playing baseball, and capture memories with my friends without the use of my phone. The music quality is really good, and I recommend this to anyone who likes to record videos and create content.”
Overall, these items have positive reviews and have their benefits for the prices. I will hopefully use one of these in the near future, especially the Meta Glasses. The concept of them is really cool, and hopefully we can see more products like these. I would like to see them add a prescription version for those who can’t experience the glasses normally.
