Best Songs for the Summer of 2026

     With around 30 days left of school we’re going to be entering the summer of 2026. Warm weather, flip flops, popsicles, pool parties, the smell of sunscreen and beach days everyday! The only way to keep this vibe ongoing is to have the best summer playlist, so here are some songs that will make a great addition to your playlist!

     To start off your playlist we can start out with some fun newer songs to really bring the vibe and make any function feel super fun. Some good songs that could be added to your playlist are Nothin’ On You by B.O.B & Bruno Mars, 2 Lovin U by DJ Premier & Miguel, Slow Down by Bobby V, I Like Me Better by Lauv, Sky Walker by Miguel & Travis Scott, Beauty and a Beat by Justin Bieber & Nicki Minaj, and Starlight by Mario.

     Some oldie but goodies summer songs that have some type of R&B vibe in it are One Call Away by: Chingy & J/Weav, No Scrubs by TLC, E.I (clean version) by Nelly, Lady by D’Angelo, Groovin Tonight by Brian McKnight & St. Lunatics, Under the Boardwalk by The Drifters, and Bidi Bidi Bom Bom by Selena.

     Some songs that bring back a sense of nostalgia from 5-15 years ago just by hearing a couple beats are always a good addition to your playlist. Like Thinking of You by Katy Perry, Baby by Justin Bieber & Ludacris, Bad Habit (clean version) by Steve Lacy, Sure Thing by Miguel, and Levitating by Dua Lipa.

     A lot of Katy Perry’s discography has a pretty nostalgic summer feel. Like Last Friday Night, California Gurls, Firework, and The One That Got Away. With some great features on those songs like Snoop Dog.

     The American poet, William Carlos Williams said, “In summer, the song sings itself.” Which represents how lovely the season of summer is and how melodic it is.
