Malcolm Todd is an American singer and songwriter, born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He was born on September 15, 2003. Malcolm started making music around 2020-2021, with his friend Charlie Ziman, when they were both in high school.
Posting on TikTok had been Malcolm’s way of trying to get people’s attention as a new artist, but he actually got popular because of a different way. Though it didn’t seem like the best reason for gaining popularity at the beginning, he has now gained millions of followers and people love his music.
Malcolm’s first big hit was “Chest pain (I love).” This song arose when it blew up on TikTok in early 2025.
Surpsingly, the reason this song got so popular was because Malcolm himself went on “Genius,” an interview where music artists break down the meaning behind their most popular songs.
During the interview Malcolm sang the course of the song which repeatedly says “I love, I love, I love, I love, I love.”
Many people found the way he says this line to be funny, mostly because the way he sings it is highly exaggerated from the way he sings it in the song.
While “Chest pain (I love)” is a good song, Malcolm has many other amazing ones that you should check out.
On April 28, 2026, Malcolm announced that he will be dropping an album on June 5, 2026, with the title of “Do that again”.
He announced this through posts on social media, and has been giving teasers for a new album.
For example, on March 13, 2026, Malcolm dropped a song called “Breathe”. He also more recently released a song with the title “I saw your face” on April 23, 2026.
These 2 songs go into depth on his recent breakup with his girlfriend Natalia, and talks about the pain of having to move on.
The reason I mentioned these songs is because they are featured on his new album, and as of now are the only 2 songs we know fully, besides the songs he has been teasing throughout social media posts.
Malcolm Todd has been blowing up because of his songs going viral on TikTok, and now that he is going to be dropping an album he is continuing to rise.
