Socal’s favorite time of year is back

It’s SoCal’s favorite time of year: the Coachella festival is back again. Hosted in the Coachella Valley, every spring this festival returns, it gets more popular than the year prior. Strictly a music and arts festival, some argue that it has also turned into a fashion festival as well –I mean fashion is art after all, right?

At the festival, people travel from all over the U.S. and dress in their very best spring outfits while attending this popular festival. Some people book hotels, others camp on site. There are several devoted fans to Coachella that make it a tradition to go every year. Many celebrities are known to make appearances like Selena Gomez, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Vanessa Hudgens, Justin Bieber, etc. who usually enjoy going just as much as the fans.

This year’s headliners were The Weeknd, Beyonce and Eminem. The performers are essentially the key role to Coachella as the show they give can make or break the festival for all the attendees. The festival has been given the nickname “Beychella” this year as Beyonce has been crowned queen of Coachella due to rocking the stage with her unforgettable performances throughout the night. With themed performances like “homecoming” and “high school”, where she’d have a band playing and a high school sweatshirt on, Beyonce made it a fun and creative experience for all.

Though the three headliners are the main performers, there are also other artists who were permitted to go up and do a few songs. Artists like Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Cardi B, Russ etc performed and rocked the show. Coachella is appealing to music lovers because of the wide variety of artists who take the stage as it is overall a seemingly, genuinely fun experience.
